Children`s ski school
Children`s ski school is for children in the age between 3 and 7 years. School activities are being held in three different levels. All children are welcome in Children`s ski school house, where is no need for parents to wait in a line for children ski equipment, because they already have it in Children`s ski school house.
Level 0 – for children without skiing preliminary knowledge. The aim of this level is to show the idea of skiing and to learn rudiments of skiing elements – ability to slow down.
So that learning process would be more useful as well as exciting, children`s park is equiped with SunKid moving band that is safe and comfortable ski lift for children and SunKid carousel to acquire slow down skills. Children park is equiped with animal figures and during learning process are being used different subjects like cones, flags, forming lessons as a game – easy, understandable and exciting!
Level 1 – for children with minimal skiing knowledges. Lesson for Level 1 children takes part on the Beginner Hill and is equiped with tablet ski lift. In these lessons children secure slow down skills in a different high levels and learn how to spin. In these lessons children acquire their first experience how to use tablet ski lift and how to use it without assistance. In these lessons children use different detour subjects – cones and etc. , as well as hand-held objects, like, „puds`”, „clubs`”, to stabilize children balance. Level 1 prepares children for Level 2, where children moves to Junior track.
Level 2 – children have slow down and spinning skills. Lessons are being held on the left side of the Big hill, where is a special track with ascents and with special made rises. Junior park is equiped with animal figures and special gates. Children uses tablet ski lift, what they learned how to use on Level 1 lessons. In these lessons children learn how to slow down on ascents and how to spin in different conditions. Junior park hill is steeper than Beginner hill, so after these lessons children are ready to ski without assistance not only on the Latvian hills, but also on the Big mountains abroad.
Lessons for Level 0 and Level 1 consists of:
1 hour lesson on a hill,
40-45 min indoor, where children are able to fortify oneself – healthy oatmeal porridges with milk, fruit, berries and chocolate chips, that do not contain enhancers and flavorings and are specially produced for children, to provide with long-lasting source of energy and vitamin filled meal. Children in ski school can feast with crispy muesli, muesli bars and tasty pastries from Elvi grocery. Games, plays and cartoons on a big screen are available after a meal,
1 hour lesson on a hill,
10 min – snowtubing with small tubings in Children park.
Lessons for Level 2 consists of:

1 hour 20 min – 1hour 15 min - lesson on a hill.
Children ski school works on Saturdays and on Sundays.
Lesson times:
Level 0: from 10:30 a.m. - 13:30 p.m.; from 14:00 p.m. - 17:00 p.m.
Level 1: from 11:00 a.m. – 14:00 p.m.
Level 2: from 11:00 a.m. – 14:15 p.m.
Lessons cost is 25 EUR for 3 hours
Lessons cost is included in the price of classes on the hill, feeding and snowtubing.
Rent of equipment for school time pays extra 5 EUR.
